CUChange had its Fall Kickoff at Foothills Community Park on August 29th. This event ushers in a new year and celebrates the accomplishments of the year behind. We welcomed two new graduate students, Irene De La Torre and Anika Sansgiry, and we said goodbye to a longtime Professional Research Assistant, Austin Drake, who will be moving to the United Kingdom to enroll in a Master's program. It was a beautiful day with great food and great people!

Please join me in congratulating Devon for winning the "A Bud & Beyond" award!

Since joining the POC team, Devon has shown great tenacity in getting up to speed with data collection procedures and obtaining their phlebotomy certification. Devon has also contributed significantly to the finalization of the content, edits, and visual appearance of the latest editions of the CUChange Newsletter. Finally, with cold and flu season now upon us, Devon has shown great initiative in stepping in to fill in on multiple appointments when their fellow teammates were sick, allowing data collection for the COBRA project to proceed with gusto!

Together, all of these factors not only make Devon an invaluable member of CUChange and the POC team but also worthy of the title of "A Bud & Beyond".
