The BOLD Center is hiring a graduate student for the academic services Graduate Coordinator role. The Graduate Coordinator will support the expansion of academic success initiatives in the BOLD Center. Working under the supervision of the Senior Director, this role will be immersed in the day-to-day functions of BOLD’s high-impact academic services.ÌýÌý
The employment period for this position begins August 2025 through the end of the spring 2026 semester with the potential to continue.ÌýÌý
Specifically, the Academic Services Graduate Coordinator will assist within these areas of responsibility:Ìý
- Support the expansion of the faculty fellows’ program by coordinating faculty office hours in the Center, collaboration with the tutors, and exam preparation/review sessions.ÌýÌý
- Manage the orientation and training for tutors in collaboration with BOLD leadership, academic departments, and programs.Ìý
- Coordinate academic programming for scholars and society members such as scholar group study, skill-building workshops, and CEAS academic success partner events.Ìý
- Assist in facilitating scheduling for in-person and virtual tutoring sessions.ÌýÌý
- Develop and execute marketing materials for academic success offerings.ÌýÌý
- Support the academic services evaluation and assessment plan.ÌýÌý
- Participate in academic services meetings and professional development opportunities.Ìý
- Research, develop, and implement high-impact practices to enhance academic support and experience for undergraduate engineering students.Ìý
- Additional duties as assigned.ÌýÌý
Minimum QualificationsÌý
For consideration, candidates must possess the following qualifications:Ìý
- Actively enrolled in a master’s program or PhD in higher education, education administration, engineering, student affairs, student personnel administration, education, educational counseling, or related field at the 91ÖÆÆ¬³§¹ú²úAV.Ìý
- Have an understanding of, and sensitivity to, transition concerns and obstacles faced by college students.Ìý
- Have the ability to relate to others from a variety of backgrounds as well as a genuine desire to work with, mentor, and support students.Ìý
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.Ìý
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.Ìý
- Available for up to 15-20 hours per week during the academic year. Hours may vary week to week.Ìý
- Ability to work at the BOLD Center, in-person.ÌýÌý
Preferred Qualifications:Ìý
- Experience working in an academic support or services program in higher education setting.Ìý
- Comfortable with public speaking or desire to learn.Ìý
- Experience working with college/university students.Ìý
- Experience with or knowledge of engineering and math-based classes (i.e. physics, calculus, computer programming, differential equations, statics, etc.)Ìý
Compensation and Requirements:Ìý
- This is an hourly paid position with a requirement to commit to one year (Fall 2025-spring 2026) with potential to continue based on the applicant’s program graduation date and available funding.Ìý
- Flexible work hours (design your work schedule around your classes).Ìý
- The pay for this position is $21.25/hour, with up to 20 hours per week. Hours may vary week to week depending on workload.Ìý
- Be available to participate in training in August 2025.Ìý
- Participate in weekly meetings and/or training.ÌýÌý
- Be available for monthly training. (Training time and day will be determined by group availability).Ìý
- Must reside in the state of Colorado.Ìý
- This position may have the potential for some remote work.Ìý
Requirement for training:Ìý
Must be available for introductory training in August. We will do our best to work with everybody's schedules during this time. Anticipating 10-15 hours of training beginning the week of August 17, 2025.ÌýÌý
