ExoPower Inc.

Novel in-motion wireless charging technology for electric vehicles and material-handling equipment such as mobile robots and forklifts.

The University of Colorado Connection

ExoPower was founded by 听(alum, CU Boulder Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering, ) and 听(fmr., CU Boulder Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering) to commercialize their novel in-motion wireless charging technology for electric vehicles and material-handling equipment such as mobile robots and forklifts. Their system enables 鈥榠n-use鈥 charging, allowing vehicles to recharge while in operation, boosting workforce productivity, extending battery life and reducing the need for oversized batteries. By eliminating downtime and the need to purchase extra equipment for multi-shift operations, ExoPower removes the hidden 鈥渃harging tax鈥 that often burdens automation projects. This innovation makes automation significantly more cost-effective and efficient.

The core technology was developed in the Power Electronics Lab at the 91制片厂国产AV, where Khurram Afridi served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering, and Brandon Regensburger was his student.
